Mission Statement:

  • The purpose of JIBC are to evangelize locally.
  • Support Missions globally.
  • Worship regularly in time, talent and treasure.
  • Build up Christians spiritually, keep unity of believers in love.
  • Train others to server and strive in our personally lives towards sanctification.

What We Believe:

 

  • Jesus Christ is the foundation of the church.  He came to restore man’s broken relationship with God.  It is our goal to place Jesus Christ first in our lives, and to proclaim His work of salvation through His life, death and resurrection. (John 3:16)

 

  • The Bible is the inspired Word of God.  It is our goal to teach the Bible in public, study it in private and embrace it as a guidebook for our everyday Christian walk.  (II Timothy 3:16-17)

 

  • Love for one another is the greatest testimony of the reality of Jesus Christ in our world today.  It is our goal to exhibit a Christ-like love for everyone.  The proof of our love should be evident in our actions as well as through our spoken word.  (John 13:34-35; 1 John 3:18)

 

  • Worship is a natural expression of love and reverence for God.  It is our goal to make our entire lifestyle – at church, home, work and play – an expression of true worship.  (Mark 12:28-30)

 

  • Christian Service is the work and responsibility of all believers, not just that of the church leaders.  It is our goal to stimulate and equip each other for their own personal ministry.  (Ephesians 4:11-13)

 

  • Christian Growth is simply defined as becoming more like Jesus Christ.  It is our goal to encourage individual growth by abiding in Jesus Christ, surrendering our lives to the control of the Holy Spirit, and building strong interpersonal relationships within the church.  (John 15:5; Galations 5:22-23; Ephesians 4:14-16)
